I'm very sorry to report that we ordered one of these for our daughter's Bat Mitzvah, and it just was not appetizing enough to really eat. I'm not sure where all the glowing reviews came from. Maybe those people stopped in to pick up their challah directly at the bakery when it was fresh-baked, whereas, ours was shipped. That probably makes a big difference. I think for our son's Bat Mitzvah, we'll try again, but we'll try to drive there, it's 30 mins. away, and pick it up ourselves on the day it was baked.
But it's definitely very heavy, regardless...Not light and fluffy. Maybe "light and fluffy" just isn't possible with GF baking. We do love several of the other Katz GF items!

Huge and Delicious

Not realizing just how big this large Challah loaf is, I ordered this for a family of two. Though more dense than a traditional Challah loaf, the hearty flavor is delicious - love it with the sesame seeds. He not only liked it but loved it which is rare for gluten free products - since he actually gets to choose. We've been cutting a piece off and putting the rest back in the freezer and it hasn't lost any texture despite already going in and out of the freezer several times.

Wonderful Bread!

My guests and I thoroughly enjoyed this delicious bread. Even the children loved it. It had a unique taste and wonderful texture -- not at all like other gluten-free bread I have had. This was flavorful and moist -- and it will be at my holiday table again next year -- and in between too!
