I guess I was expecting something a little more moist. With toppings it's not bad but be prepared to have some milk by your side to wash it down.

This is as light as any English sponge cake, all I need to do is add some smuckers strawberry jam and whipped heavy cream and I'll have a cake worthy of high tea! BEST PRODUCT YET.
It would be nice if they were circular for the above purpose.

This sponge cake is now a favorite of my little 6 year old gluten free grand-daughter!! She loves it plain, and we're going to "decorate" it next time with a little vanilla frosting and a few sprinkles...great taste and texture!
